TIMO invites 150 Filipino math wizards
The Philippines is one country with many students so nimble with numbers that they soared to the top of the math trainings, making them to the pretty long lists of math aces invited to participate in the 2019 Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad (TIMO) International Round in Phuket, Thailand on April 5 – 8, 2019. Heeding the challenge of the TIMO Organizers, the Philippine Brain Power Society (PBPS) will send about 150 Filipino math wizards selected from the winners of gold, silver and bronze of the TIMO heat round conducted last November 2018. PBrain selects math wizards for ITMC
Young Filipino math aces have been invited to represent the Philippines in the International Talent Mathematics Contests (ITMC) in Bangkok and Ayutthaya, Thailand on February 8 – 12, 2019. Since the contest organizer has allotted 150 slots for the Philippines, then the Screening Committee has identified names of students who took and passed the heat round as potential ITMC Filipino participants who will compete with their equally finest from other countries. Filipino team harvests 101 medals and awards in HK math contest
It is true that how you respond to the challenge will determine what you become after the game, whether you are a winner or a loser. As for the Philippine teams, it is optimism and preparation that ramp up the edge of the Pinoy math aces during the 2018 Olympic Mathematics 3D Cup Pan-Asia Pacific International Invitation Competition held in Hong Kong, China on June 29 to July 3, 2018. Filipinos win 114 medals and awards in Hong Kong
The country's finest math wizards had proven anew their number prowess by reaping a whopping 83 medals and 31 merit awards in the recently concluded 2018 Hong Kong International Mathematics Competition (HKIMC) held in Hong Kong on August 31 to September 2, 2018, placing the Philippines third in the overall standing. The HKIMC drew more than 600 participants from the following countries: Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Ukraine. Please be informed that the orientation for the participants from the National Capital Region for the 2018 Hong Kong International Mathematics Olympiad is on Saturday 9 AM to 11 AM, August 25, 2018, St. Stephen High School, 1207 Masangkay St, Tondo, Manila.
